The Game
According to his own statement there is no album that had had a stronger impact is Game’s life than N.W.A.’s “Straight Outta Compton”. Tattoos and many quotations in his songs along with interviews underlined Game’s fanaticism for the notorious crew from Compton/Long Beach.
In 2001 his life was threatened by an attempted murder due to fights of rivaling gangs and drug dealers .He blessedly survived and during his inhabitation in the hospital he gained his power for composing lyrics .Then things started to happen very fast. His big role model Dr. Dre got hold of Games’ demo tape and invited him to come to his studio.
After a while The Game signed his first record deal with Dre’s Label Aftermath. As it was finally done - the freshly graduated G-Unit Member dropped the LP “The Documentary” and made the West Coast traceable again on the Hip Hop map. During the first week 600.000 LPs were sold and he became a Hip Hop giant overnight. After a short time The Game left G-Unit due to beef between him and 50 Cent.
The tension got boosted in the public light by diss-songs, DVDs, mix tapes, interviews and the even went as far as sending out death threats.
In autumn 2006 his second LP “Doctor’s Advocate” came out and Gamed proved to everybody wrong who claimed that he couldn’t be successful without Dr.Dre’s and 50 Cent’s support. The New York Times even elected “Doctors Advocate” to the album of the year.
2008 THE GAME came back with his “Lax Files” after announcing the end of his career. But it seems to be impossible for him to drop the mic.
His new LP “The R.E.D. Album” was released in 2011
