1996 recorded the group „St. Lunatics „their first single „Gimme What Ya Got“. For all success they didn’t catch a contract hereupon Cornell “Nelly” Haynes tried his solo.

He signed up a contract with Universal Records. His debut single “Hot” was his entry to the hip-hop world, by fascinating the crowd with his unique flow. Shortly afterwards his debut album „Country Grammar“ was selling over 250.000 and lately 9 billion times.2 years afterwards the album “Nellyville” got 2 Grammys for the single “Hot in Here” and “Dilemma” ( 6 billion sold LP’s).

The fifth album “Brass Knuckles” come up by the help of Usher, Pharrell Williams, Akon, Snoop Dogg, Jermaine Dupri and many more. Although the back and forth of the market “Nelly” managed both publication of the albums “Sweat” and “Suit” (2004 honored with platinum). In year 2005 he acted opposite Burt Reynolds, Adam Sandler and Chris Rockin the movie “The Longest Yard”.

Till year 2008 he sold ca. 35 billion LP’s and therefore “Nelly” is one of the most successful musicians. May 2010 he revealed that he is working on his new album called “Nelly 5.0”.
