Nas started his career with an LP that got handled as indisputable classic album. (ILLMATIC, 1994)
"If I ruled the world" with Lauryn Hill, "Nas is like", "Hate me now", "I Can" and the notorious Song "Ether" dissing Jay-Z are the most popular Songs of the Queens Bridge Representer. Especially the beef with Jay-Z got a big media hype. Since a lot of people saw him as the winner of this battle and his Album "Stillmatic" got Double-Platinum-Status.
But it’s also his social critical and political lyrics and his real Hip-hop attitude many fans see him as one of the most important rapper of our time.
2010 Nas dropped the Album "Distant Relatives" together with Damian Marley which deals with Africa and its problems.
