Flo Rida is no longer just a state in the US; Flo Rida alias Tramar Dillard emerged to be one of the most popular rap musicians of 2010. He achieved his international breakthrough in 2008 with the single “Low”. Following colleagues like Rick Ross, Pitbull and the producer-team Cool & Dre, Flo Rida has once and for all symbolically placed the same-named region on the Hip Hop-map.
Let's travel some years back in time; Tramar Dillard was born on 16th December, 1979 in Opa-locka. Already inn early years he discovered his passion for music. With his cousins' help he had a chance to connect with the legendary 2 Live-Crew and became the new hype-man of the Crew-Member Fresh Kid Ice.
Around the time when Poe Boy Entertainment gained success with Rick Ross' "Hustlin'", Flo Rida signed a record deal with this label and after some years of hard labor in California and hundreds of recording sessions, his effort finally paid off.
"Hit machine" T-Pain got for the first single and the first album “Mail on Sunday” hits No. 4 in the charts.
Soon the song “Right Round” eclipses all success before it. The debut single off the album "R.O.O.T.S. (Route of Overcoming the Struggle)” is to date the "fastest selling digital song ever recorded" and as expected, immediately positioned itself as the top of the Billboard US-Charts.
