Far East Movement
The band Far East Movement is made up of Kev Nish, Prohgress, J-Splif, and DJ Virman, who all grew up together in Los Angeles. FEM has brought underground party music and mainstream Hip Hop and Pop closer to each other. They refer to their style of music as "Free Wired" because they experiment with elements of Hip Hop, Pop, Electro and Dance and mix them to create an original sound and lifestyle.
FEM had already had a No. 1 hit song, “Girls On The Dance Floor”, on L.A. radio even before their album "Free Wired" was released in 2010. This earned FEM a spot on an eminent concert in L.A., headlined by none other than Jay-Z. The entire energy, music, fashion and overall lifestyle FEM disposes with what they call "Free Wired", continues to fascinate as well as draw on a huge audience.
When their manager forwarded their music to Pop superstar Lady Gaga, she promptly invited FEM to join her for some dates overseas, on her Monster Ball Tour in April 2010. As soon as they had returned home, another tour invitation followed, this time with the infamous N.E.R.D.
The follow up record “Like A G6” exploded on the international radio stations, music channels as well as dancefloors worldwide. They have successfully toured Asia, the US and South America, as well as parts of Europe. Far East Movement is now anxious to expand their horizons and take on new adventures as they're a highly appreciated music group in Europe.
