What a woman! Gorgeous and a musically marvelous. Her voice is pure soul; her lyrics are philosophical, deep and socially critical.
Erykah includes lots of musical genres and creates a new sound which makes her even more popular and successful all around the globe.
1997 she presented a new sound with her album “Baduizm”. This sound was a mixture of Soul from the 70s, Contemporary Soul with Hip-Hop-influenced beats. With this unique new soul, nowadays known as Neo Soul, she gained a huge fan base and and a lot of artists that adapted to this trend.
Erykah has also produced five number one records, won 4 Grammy awards and her album "Baduizm" was certified triple platinum. In March 2010 she released her 6th record "New Amerykah Part II" and Miss Badu is ever ready to conquer European stages with her new sound.
