DJ Whoo Kid
The DJ, producer, entrepreneur and host grew up as Yves Mondesir in Queens, New York where his love for Hip Hop emerged from early childhood. Nonetheless, he first gained fame and recognition thanks to his 200 mix tapes, in which he had collaborated with prestigious artists like Snoop Dogg, G-Unit, The Game, Mobb Deep and even Tech N9ne.
As a consequence of his initial success as a DJ, Whoo Kidd went on to expand his business network. In co-operation with his partner Nana Fujise, he founded Shadyville Entertainment, a booking agency for DJs and Hip Hop artists, in 2001. Within a period of only three years, the agency steadily expanded and soon it placed over 150 Djs across the globe.
DJ Whoo Kidd earned his own airplays on various radio stations, thus it didn’t take long for him to draw the press' attention on his talent of brilliantly crossing musical boundaries and very soon he was a critically acclaimed DJ. In addition to that he was covered with numerous meaningful awards. Rolling Stones magazine even named one of the Top DJs of the USA. His exceptional mix tapes even earned DJ Whoo Kidd five Justo Mixtape Awards.
Momentarily DJ Whoo Kidd regularly spins in approximately 80 clubs worldwide and occasionally supports 50 Cent, Lloyd Banks and G-Unit as their Tour-DJ.
