Big Boi
Big Boi, with his civic Name: Antwan André Patton (born 1975) is an American actor and mainly rapper from Savannah. He and Andrè 3000 set the hip-hop duo “Outkast” up and he is a member of the “Dungeon” family. Big Boi is also known as: Sir Lucious Left Foot, Daddy Fat Sacks, General Patton, Billy Ocean and many more.
Outkast were commercially very successful for all their experimental approach. 1994 they published their first album “Southernplayalisticadillacmuzik”. At an interval of 2 years there were fallowing the LP’s “ATLiens”, “Aquemini” and in year 2000 “Stankonia”. Outkast accomplished the climax by publishing the number one hits “Ms. Jackson” and “Hey Ya!” in 2003 (album “Speakerboxxx/The Love Below” decorated with diamond). André3000 and Big Boi are the duo with the highest exchange in their genre with over 22 million sold LP’s only in the United States.
Big Boi founded the record label “Purple Ribbon Records” and published the compilation “Got Purp? Vol.2” with numerous artists and members of the “Dungeon” family.2008 Big Boi collaborated with the Atlanta ballet ensemble for the hip-hop ballet “Big“. The ballet is based on some of his songs as well as other member of Purple Ribbon Records. The concept will be worldwide extended.
With 2 years delay, on the 2nd of July 2010, the album “Sir Lucious Left Foot: The Son of Chico Dusty” was published under “Def Jam Records”.
During Big Boi’s career he worked with a lot of international successful artist together including Missy Elliot, Jay-Z, Beyoncé, Earth, Wind & Fire, Carlos Santana, P.Diddy and Chris Brown. According to what people say it is Big Boi to owe the longstanding success of “Outkast” to fallow the progressive suggestions of the hip-hop duo up.
